CHaRM and Boulder U-Fix-It

Eco-Cycle’s Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials (CHaRM) and Boulder U-Fix-It.

CHaRM opened in 2001 and was the first facility of its kind in the nation. It collects unusual materials like electronics and plastic bags for recycling and reuse.

At Boulder U-Fix-It Clinic events, people bring all sorts of broken appliances, toys, electronics, clothing, and jewelry and work with volunteer coaches to learn hands-on repair skills. A set of tools is available for each participant to use.

Organizers: Wayne Seltzer - volunteer coordinator, Dan Matsch - Eco-Cycle, Center for Hard to Recycle Materials
